Join us this Labour Day weekend for the Fifth Annual James Bay Art Walk. |

This September 5th and 6th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., 22 painters, potters, photographers, and crafters of wood and plant material invite you to come and see what they do all year. Your full colour guide will be available at selected locations throughout the neighbourhood, and there will be a special Art Walk supplement in the September issue of the James Bay Beacon.
Take a self-guided tour of beautiful James Bay and look for the brightly painted shoes that will dangle from the doorways of the artists’ venues. Meet the artists, enjoy their art, and perhaps take home something beautiful, from original works to prints and cards. There’s a lot to see, so plan for a full day – or two – and enjoy a lunch along the way.

Also, don’t miss the special showcase of the artists’ work at Serious Coffee in James Bay, 103 – 225 Menzies Street, running all through August. Join the artists for opening night, August 1, and enjoy the music of local guitarist John MacArthur from 6 to 8 p.m. |
