Artist Bio and Statement

 

"This artist’s innovative and characteristic mixed-media collage technique uses found-fiber and gold leaf to create rich texture and natural pattern. A dramatic new body of work engages the global perspective as it interprets views of land mass gained through satellite imagery and combined with luminous horizons." --BC Cultural Guide

 

My inspiration remains the grandeur of landform and its perpetual evolution. This year’s work created, following a visit to Haida Gwaii will be available. Brush drawings, oils sketches, and encaustic works which interpret that magnificent environment have been brought to the Victoria studio.

The exploration into sustainability which began many years ago continues, recycled materials are still incorporated and the subject of all nature, including ourselves, as a unified whole remains the focus.  I look forward to meeting you on ‘the walk’.
