Artist Bio and Statement

Symmetry and symbolism are key elements throughout my art, which reflects the philosophy of balance in my life.

My keen interest in macro and microscopic patterns and shapes; as well as the spaces between objects in their various environments has influenced my art and my thinking. I think of all of nature and reality as being comprised of infinite layers, the spaces between and their interconnections.

It is my hope that the images and symbols I use will transcend the finite confines of the painted surface, and touch the heart, mind of the viewer.

Visitors will see a body of work from two shows; the 'Essential Spaces' May 2009 Victoria show and my November 2008 Tanashi Jinja solo show in Tokyo Japan.
